Retreats

Throughout the year, those on retreat enjoy the peace and the liturgical life of the Abbey while spending several days with us. A retreat is a privileged moment in a person’s spiritual life when, with the support of a priest, the Christian can grow stronger in the life of prayer and of faith.

At Lagrasse, the rhythm of life during a retreat follows that of the Community : liturgy, silent prayer, manual labour, meals in the conventual refectory…

Groups can also be welcomed for retreats, on request.

Our guesthouse can only accommodate men. Chambres d’hôte are, however, available in the village (we can provide information). Women and girls are equally made welcome by our Sisters Canonesses of Azille.

Talking to a priest

Visitors to the Abbey can ask to meet a priest from the Community for spiritual direction, confession, or to receive private instruction. ask for a meeting
